Found Animals in our Custody
These animals are strays that we have in custody. They are not available for adoption until they appear on our adoptable animals pages.
If you are the owner of an animal on this list, please call us at (970) 259-2847, email us at info@lpchumanesociety.org, or come to the shelter during our business hours. You will be required to provide proof of ownership for us to release the animal to you.

Note: We give names to stray animals when we don’t know their real name, and we guess the breed based on their appearance. It’s best to go by the animal photos more than the names or breeds.
Found Animals Reported by the Public
These animals have been reported as found by members of the public and are not in our custody.
If you are the owner of an animal on this list, please call us at (970) 259-2847 or email us at info@lpchumanesociety.org so that we can attempt to contact the person who made the report.
Note: We simply use the information that is provided to us by the person who found the animal. It’s best to go by the animal photos more than the names or breeds.
Lost
These animals are reported as lost by members of the public. If you have found an animal in this list, please call us at (970) 259-2847 so that we can help to reunite the animal with its owner.
