  • Third Annual Hamster Derby

    Yee-haw, Colorado style 🤠❄️🐹
    Join us for the Third Annual Hamster Derby, a Snowdown-inspired, Colorado cowboy-themed event you won’t want to miss!

    Come cheer on our pint-sized racers at Creature Comforts on Sunday, January 25th at 2pm for an afternoon full of laughs, friendly competition, and high-country western fun. This family-friendly event is proudly sponsored by Creature Comforts and benefits La Plata County Humane Society.

    🎉 Admission is FREE and open to all ages

    Looking for the VIP experience? A limited number of VIP tickets are available and include:

  • Pittie-Palooza

    🐶 Pittie-Palooza is here! 🐶

    Meet an adorable litter of pit bull puppies at this special adoption event hosted by La Plata County Humane Society at Durango Cyclery. These sweet pups are ready to find their forever homes!

    📍 Where: Durango Cyclery, 143 E 13th St.
    📅 When: Wednesday, January 7th
    ⏰ Time: 1–4pm

    Scan the QR code to complete an adoption application ahead of time. Come fall in love and maybe leave with your newest family member. 🐾💙

  • Durango Pet Resort Christmas Market

    Come get your dog’s photo with Santa Paws and possibly meet your newest family member! We are bringing adoptable pups!
    You can grab some hot cocoa and a baked goods and shop local. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon
    We are also excepting bed and blanket donations!
